For what purposes will we process your personal data?

At UFV we will process your personal data for the following purposes:

  • The main purpose of the treatment is to manage your registration in the activities organized by the University Francisco de Vitoria (UFV).
  • In addition, there are other purposes of treatment that must be consented to by checking the box on the registration form. Specifically, these aims are to invite you to future activities organised by the Universidad Francisco de Vitoria (UFV) and to publish videos and images on the different websites of the university and social networks in which you may appear as a result of your participation in the different activities of the university (classes, conferences, etc.). Calls may also be sent by electronic means (SMS, e-mail, student portal and social networks).

What is the legitimacy for the processing of your data?

The legal bases that legitimize the treatments are:

How long will we keep personal data?

Personal data will be processed during the following periods:
As long as he does not revoke the consent given or object to the processing carried out.

To whom will your data be sent?

The Universidad Francisco de Vitoria has several application and computer support providers that can access personal data when executing this contract. The Universidad Francisco de Vitoria will always have a contract of access to data signed with them in accordance with the requirements of article 28 of the General Data Protection Regulation, which will provide sufficient guarantees in the processing carried out by these providers. Some of the providers are located outside the territory of the European Union, so the Universidad Francisco de Vitoria requests additional guarantees, according to the regime established for international transfers in the General Data Protection Regulation, such as the hiring of providers who are certified within the framework of the European Union – United States agreement called Privacy Shield 

What are your rights in relation to data processing?

Any person has the right to obtain information about the existence of processing of his or her data, to access his or her personal data, to request the rectification of data that are inaccurate or, where appropriate, to request their erasure, when, among other reasons, the data are no longer necessary for the purposes for which they were collected or the data subject withdraws the consent given.
In certain cases, the data subject may request the limitation of the processing of his/her data, in which case we will only keep them in accordance with current legislation.

In certain cases, you may exercise your right to data portability, which will be delivered in a structured, commonly used or machine-readable format to you or the new data controller you designate.

You have the right to revoke your consent at any time for any of the treatments for which you have given your consent.
To exercise your rights, you must do so in writing, either electronically signed or accompanied by a photocopy of your ID card. If the person is acting by proxy, the document must be accompanied by sufficient power of attorney and a copy of his or her national ID card or be electronically signed.
Written submissions must be submitted in person at the University Register or sent by post to the address given in the “Responsible” section.
You have the right to contact our data protection officer regarding all matters relating to the processing of your personal data and the exercise of your rights under this Regulation and to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority if you consider that the exercise of your rights has not been properly complied with.

The maximum time limit to resolve is one month from the date of receipt of your application, which may be extended for a further two months depending on the complexity of the application or the number of applications received. In the event of any changes to your data, please inform us in writing in writing.
